LOCATION: Berkshire Vista Resort at the end of Kittle Road in Hancock, Massachusetts
It was the summer of 1985. Bill and Ellie Falconer and a small cadre of friends at Birch Acres in Hancock, Massachusetts decided to pursue the idea of creating another naturist club.
2005 marks the 20th anniversary of that effort and the founding of the Sunchasers Travel Club. One of the events being planned to commemorate that milestone will bring us back to where it all began in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts.
Birch Acres has been transformed into the much-improved Berkshire Vista Resort. Owners Dan and Ginny Bookstein have invited the club to reunite and celebrate in the place of our beginning. They will host a wine and cheese social complete with a special anniversary cake on Saturday afternoon. Various other activities are in the early planning stage.
This 20th Anniversary Reunion will occur during the weekend of August 19th through 21st.
At Berkshire Vista Resort a variety of accommodations are available at various price levels. Clean, simple, rustic rooms with no bath; comfortable rooms in the refurbished antique farmhouse, some with private bath; or fully equipped park model cottages with kitchen, bath, air-conditioning, satellite TV and private deck. Tent campsites are also available as well as full utility sites for your own RV, travel trailer, or motor home.
ADVANCE RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED AND MUST BE MADE THROUGH BERKSHIRE VISTA RESORT. RESERVE EARLY BUT NOT LATER THAN JUNE 15TH. After that date the pace of bookings accelerates and accommodations may become limited. Avoid disappointment.
The clubhouse restaurant serves breakfast and dinner daily throughout the weekend and the poolside bar and grill is open in the afternoon for cocktails, burgers and pub food.
DJ dances are held in the clubhouse on Friday and Saturday evenings. The club has a full liquor license.

This event is being dubbed “20th Anniversary Reunion” because we hope to attract not only currently active members but also inactive and former members whom we have not seen in a long, long time. It is hoped that it will be a time to renew old friendships, to make new acquaintances and to reminisce about good times past. Moonstone, Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, The Ledges, Dyer Woods, Solair, Berkshire Vista and countless hot tub parties at private homes throughout the region…twenty years of memories!
